Now it's winter - it's dull and
damp some days, - but others are just so nice. Crispy and fresh. Both humans
and animals enjoy a glorious winterday. It's "after season" at Windsongs,
even if there is shows to attend we do not have the drive to struggle on
muddy roads.
There has been an exciting autumn
filled with hunting opportunitys, both on ducks, rawdeer and moose, mainly
for Windsongs Stravinsky but also "Carmen" and "Klara" has been out working
and tracking. Their "mum" (me) shot a rawdeer two days after X-mas eve,
when "Klara" Windsongs Klarinette was on duty. |

LITTER
On the 6th of January we had the
happy arrival of an AI litter (4+3) by a champion dog INT NORD UCH Windsongs
Pralin, born 1978! Pralin sired 8 Sh CH's, -one also beeing a Field Trial
Ch, and one Obedience CH during his life.
Pralin was a good working dog and
an awardwinner at fieldtrials and obedience, and a stunner with a lot of
winning at shows up to his tenth year.
Our aim with this litter is to be
able of linebreeding on blood for documented good performace. We hope so
that these pups will be a scource of joy and a good investment for the
future for us and for others that might be interested!
Three of the males is going to be
sold to good active homes of springer enthusiasts where they can get the
opportunity to show their ability. If this appeals to you, please contact
us!
NEW TRACKING CHAMPION
Windsongs Trombone (Nobhill Big Time Spender
- Windsongs Octopussy, owner Annika Månsson) gained his title Swedish
Tracking Champion in October.
He is also competong as an humanity dog
and at the highest level of obedience. |
YOUNG TEAM STRIKES
Alexandra von Hage (12 years) and
Windsongs Georgia On My Mind (2 years, Lelica´s Absolutely
Yours - Barecho Reminds Me Of You) has
succsessfully competed in obedience, where they gained a 1:st prize. Alexandra
has done the training all by herself and this was her second competition.
Well done!

Windsongs Splanky became judges
favourite at trial
In October-99 Windsongs Splanky (Lelica´s Absolutely Yours -
Barecho Reminds Me Of You) won a special price for the best compeditor
with a show record at a field trial. He was only beaten by one working
springer wich was not qualifyed for this award. This was his and his owner
Lotta's Ahlberg's first competition.

HEROES
The regional awards Östra's Springer Of The Year is now
decided, and two of the titles went again to Windsongs. Last year we were
FT of the year - Windsongs Stravinsky, and Obedience of the year - SVCH
Windsongs Trombone.
Show Dog of 1999 was SVCH Windsongs Shane Gold (Anette
Öhman), and Obedience Dog of 1999 was for the second year SVCH
Windsongs Trombone (Annika Månsson). The pic is showing Shane
Gold, BOB at Stockholm Springer Club Open Show to the left in the company
of SVCH Goldflames Apache Warrior. She also got the BOB at Skokloster-99,
188 springers entered.

AI-NEWS
Our Australian friends are doing well. From left "Ruse" Reibey Swedish
Rahpsody - "Paige" (their mother) Austr. CH Rothley Centre Stage -
and "Anna" Reibey Ingrid Bergman.
Ruse and Anna are sired by Windsongs Stravinsky via frozen semen.
They are now grown into the junior classes and Ruse has 4xCC's and 4xBOB,
7xRes BOB, 3xBest Puppy In Show, 8xPuppy In Group. Anna has 1xCC
and 4xRes-CC's, 4xPuppy In Show and 7xPuppy In Group...
