1. David Beckham is probably one of the five most famous men in the world.

Up till now soccer has dominated in Europe and South America.
The FIFA World Cup was held in the US in 1994 but the game didn´t catch on.
David Beckham has a unique chance to make people interested in soccer if they
weren´t interested before.

2. Beckham would be stupid not to take this opportunity to use his fame, success
and DB Football Academies to make soccer the number 1 sport. Rome wasn´t built in
one day and the same goes for this project.
Beckham´s task will be to liberate the Americans from baseball, American football,
ice-hockey etc. and make them join the big world wide soccer family.

3. The US is a huge country.
It would be easy to say it´s a mission impossible thing.
It would be easy to say that other soccer stars before him like Pele for instance
have failed.
But now we´re talking about David Beckham. And now is now.
And with the new technology and the enormous amount of money in the game the
situation today is totally different compared to even the beginning of the 90´s.
 

4. Web site in Chinese and Korean?
During the World Cup in Japan/Korea in 2002 the England squad created
hysteria  wherever they went and so did Sweden´s Freddie Ljungberg then playing for
Arsenal FC. The reason of course was that the Premier League and the Champions
League games are televised world wide. The players are well known. Their shirts
are big business and sell in millions every year.
In fact David Beckham probably has as many fans in China and Korea as
in Europe maybe more. Everything he does in the US will no doubt be important also to his fans
in Asia.

It is a fact that the American presidental campaigns every four years are big media events.
Many people don´t care much about politics and don´t care much for any of the candidates
but most people are interested in sports and entertainment. Remember that nothing is
impossible when it comes to the US,  just look at Arnold Schwarzenegger being elected
governor of California and don´t forget that Ronald Reagan had a career as an actor before
he was elected president in the 1980´s.
 

Last but not least. His wife Victoria has a career of her own in fashion and is known for being
one of The Spice Girls (British pop group formed in the 90´s).
